I recently bought another cellphone. I choose used one because I don't need all the bell and whistle of new phone. All I need is something that is practical for short message and phone call. The cellphone that happen to be available was Nokia 2730 Classic, said to had one year of use. Because it was in such a good condition, I decided to buy it. The battery of this phone was only able to standby for only a day. Since this phone is a second hand one, I thought it is usual to behave like that. Like what I usually do, I always charge the cellphone with the power off. I always believe that this charging method is the best way to charge a cellphone because battery would charge better and have longer life if we charge the cellphone with the power off. |

The development of mobile phones has lead designers to think about their applications more carefully because many people would opt out of a phone if the keyboard wasn't right. It seems youngsters are more interested in texting; the quicker it's typed and the less letters that are used, the better. This means you end up with a jumbled combination of characters to decode. It's like a new game of scrabble every time your teenage daughter sends you a message. This type of activity may suit a keyboard better as it has predictive text but also the option of single letter use. The qwerty style pad is much quicker for regular email users, as it is probably the fastest way to construct full sentences and use punctuation. Qwerty pads are compulsory on any Blackberry, which happen to be designed for internet and email use. However, some phones have the option of both types of keyboard. With a digital touch screen phone, you can switch keyboards to suit your activity, whether it's texting or e-mailing. Networks often have different perks so suit different needs. Companies like O2 for example may offer users different bundles according to their phone usage. A person using a Blackberry is more likely to send emails. so a contract with cheaper internet rates might suit them. Whereas customers with a regular keyboard on a Smart Phone may prefer a unlimited text allowance bundle. There has even been a development in computer keyboards. Traditionally, we all have the plastic push button panel, but now you can get virtual pads. It works by a small laser which projects the image of a qwerty on your desk. The laser is sensitive to finger movement which translates in to the relevant action. This creates more space on the desk and less food getting stuck between the buttons. The same principal has been applied to a piano keyboard. This most certainly creates more space, much less noise and gives you a realistic musical experience. The next development has been the virtual table, which imports photos for you just by placing your camera on the table surface. They are also interactive. allowing you to swipe your fingers across image to move it around the table or enlarge it. With all these virtual gadgets, our homes are yet to become something out of the futuristic film Minority Report. |
